The Municipality of Halandri is one of the biggest in extent and population in Attica. It is the first Municipality that applied municipal transportation (five municipal lines are in effect with the prospect of extending them to seven connecting the whole city with the two metro stations) and has now processed a system of intercity transportation with the municipalities of Psychiko, New Psychiko and Filothei.

A new study of the city traffic is ready and focuses on the two major problems of the city: limited parking spaces and traffic load throughout the extended centre of the city. A great number of public transportation lines are going through the city; eight lines of them have their starting points at the city's borders and two of them at the city's centre.

The Municipality of Halandri will work in all five technical packages and closely co-operate with ANEM
in order to achieve complementary effects.
